Sunday, May 29, 2011

Well I've had a horrible headache for two days now. It's really bad and I am looking for relief soon (I hope). I've been trying to organize my cookbooks in the hutch in the dining room and I am still searching for the rest of them, LOL! I try to stay busy to keep my mind off loosing my job but it's not working too well at all. There is a lot to be done at the office closing out the books and such before we leave so I will be pretty busy with all of that. Since I was the only one fortunate to have a job, it's going to be so very hard on my family. I totally feel like I have let them down in a big way. I told everyone that I'll be cleaning out the house and selling stuff. Brent told me he is leaving as soon as my job ends, LOL! He was kidding of course. It's going to be a big and hard adjustment on all six of us to have me home all the time. I just can't get over loosing that health insurance...

Crawford County Extension

Well folks, I guess all good things have to come to an end. My co-worked and I are both getting laid off on July 31st. What will happen to Extension in Crawford County? Your guess is as good as mine. Have any questions? Please direct them to Dean J. Scott Angle at

Waiting on that pain pill to kick in...

Well I am still paying for that long walk Saturday and almost busting my ass yesterday morning in the den BUT I am anxiously awaiting for the pain pill to kick in...
This morning when it does, I am going out back of the office to dig up some Liriope that keeps getting wacked off. The maintenance man thinks they are weeds, LOL! My friend Gina and I planted them a few years ago and they are going nowhere. I am going to take them home where they can grow beautifully. I can't wait to see those gorgeous purple flowers they have.  http://www.daytonnursery.com/encyclopedia/perennials/Liriope.htm  They are also perennials which is my favorite as I only want to plant once and enjoy them for years! Annuals just aren't worth the pain of planting them anymore...

Ok, I am pissed...

I bought this cute looking dress on ebay. Well, it arrived yesterday and is covered in stains and the seller refuses to refund my money saying there were no stains and the dress was in mint condition when it left her. Hmmm...it was double packed in tyvek envelopes so there is no way it could have been damaged in the mail. The stains look like old greasy stains, I've seen that type before... The seller's ID is mebsales4u so beware if you come across this one on ebay. The dress is here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trksid=p4340.l2557&rt=nc&nma=true&item=350462632093&si=H0CHlJEt%252BrOMJLLEamSH6IQFTCE%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT and if you look really close, you can plainly see some of the stains in the photo, HER photo no less. I thought it was maybe just the light since she stated the dress was in mint condition, boy was I wrong!

Here is what she said to me...

Dear kim*co,

3 Individuals viewed the Dress before it was sent and each says NO STAINS! The Dress was in MINT Condition! No pictures are necessary; we know it left our location as stated in listing. Thank you for doing business with HELLO GOOD BUY.

 Dear kim*co,

No Stains were on the Dress. Pictures show different degrees of light - but there were no stains on the Dress.

Mighty funny as I had 6 people look at it and say there ARE stains, many of them.
Another horrible experience in ebay land.

I have filed a claim against her with ebay for a full refund.  Stay tuned for the results...

Sistema vs Tupperware

If you haven't heard of Sistema containers, you need to research them now! They are earth friendly containers and beat the socks off Tupperware! I am not bashing Tupperware, I sold it for years and my cabinets looked a lot like the photos in the catalogs but all that is changing now! Visit http://www.sistema.co.nz/ to see them for yourself! I get mine at Macy's and here is one of my most favorite containers http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=449816&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results

They seal and lock which I love and don't seem to warp like Tupperware seals do sometimes. Also, compare the prices with Tupperware and even the disposable containers, I think you will be very happy. I get a few at a time and my collection is growing nicely. I have several of the storage containers with measuring cups, a juice container (which is fabulous) http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=447502&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results, many cereal containers http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=447504&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results, and now the Two-Section lunch cube http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=447503&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results I can't wait to try it out!

Of course, this is only my opinion but if you decide to try them out, please let me know what you think too!

CT Scan/Myleogram

I learned yesterday evening that my procedure was moved up to this Friday! I am not sure if I am ready for this or not but it's going to happen anyway. Going for my lab work this afternoon to get that over with. I am real curious to know the results of this test and can't wait to get them. At this point I have no idea what is in my future for my ole broke down back.

On a brighter note, I am going over to the Eagles Nest at 12:30 to see Savannah at Beach Day! Only one more day of school for her and she will be out with Resee for summer vacation. I so wish I could enjoy it with them! :o)

A little more about me...

Here is a little more about me. I work full time and love what I do. I also have a lot of back problems and my mind tells me "you can do that" and my body says "oh no, you can't do that!". I visited the Georgia JugFest this past Saturday and my mind said go ahead and walk over to the vendor area, LOL! Well I am paying for that decision now. At 50 I should be able to still do so much and most of the time I try anyway, LOL! I always end up paying for it later. Anyway, it was nice to get out on a Saturday and enjoy the heat (NOT!) and see folks I haven't seen in a while.

I also sell stuff I no longer need on eBay and Yardsellr and on Facebook at Jezebel's Treats.

Join me! :o)

I started a blog...

Well, I just can't believe I started a blog, LOL! At 50 years old no less. I guess I should say a little something about myself.  I have been married to the best man in the world for almost 30 years and we have 2 kids and 2 grandkids whom I adore! I love everything cows! I am also a shoe fanatic and are turning my granddaughter into the same. I am also a fool for animals, we have 14 dogs and 7 cats. We finally managed to get all the females spayed before any reproduction going on, LOL!

Like the name of my blog? Maybe I'll tell you that story a little later on...

I hope everyone has a wonderful Blessed day! :o)
